Base Ten was founded near the top of a tall tree in South Eugene in 2006 by two
graduates of the University of Oregon, Alex Lowe and Asa Tellschow. Both tutors had been working independently since 2003.
They then decided to advertize together, which led to the creation of Base Ten. Since then, they have
expanded to teaching mathematics, robotics and graphic design in the local Springfield, 4J and Oak Hill schools, offered workshops in
natural building, mural painting, physics and math, and even started offering music lessons.
As of Spring of 2020, like many other services in our country, Base Ten has moved almost completely online. We will continue to keep
offering the same quality professional services, now through video confrencing software.
